1989 Nissan Pulsar Select Either Reverse Drive 3 Speed Auto Car Will Lurch Those

when i select either reverse or drive in the 3 speed auto the car will lurch in either of those directions but will not move.

You would need to have the transmission checked/tested. Seems sometning is wrong within.

Have you checked the fluid level?
