All my gauges don't work on my 1989 Nissan d21 2.4L truck. So, how would I approach the situation?

I'm trying to replace the instrument cluster in 1989 nissan hardbody truck. After removing all of the screws the cluster doesn't want to pull out. How do I get the speedometer cable loose or some slack to get the cluster out? There must be a trick.

You need to unplug the cable. If you have difficulty getting the space to unplug the cable, go under the dash and check the routing. If any clips are holding the cable, release them and you shoudld be able to gain some space.
If that fails, then you would have to get under the vehicle to loosen some clips holding the cable to gain the slack required.
