I installed a after market cd at first it powered up but had no sound....now it doesn't ever power up at all.....when I bought the truck it already had a after market cd player in it they didn't use a wiring harness it was just hard wired in

Check the fuses and ensure you have power to the CD player. Check all wiring conections and ensure the ground connection is good.
