Can I replace my 1989 jeep comanche 4.0 engine with a 1998 jeep cherokee 4.0 engine without issues. If there are issues, how can I work around them to make this work.
Thanks,
Roger

I will look into this for you, if the engine is the same series I doubt that there will be a problem, I will do some research and let you know.

I appreciate all your help. I don't know anything about "the same series" when talking 4.0 engines. I will wait for your information.
Thanks

You should have no problems. You can either call a dealership or a junkyard. They will have all of the crossover information. But I don't think the motor mounts were changed at all between 89 and 98.
