there is a 1989 VN commodore manual i was looking at buying and the transmission wasnt working properly

You have too rev out to at least 3000rpm in 4th gear before you can shift it to 5th gear, what is it that is making it do this and how much would i be looking at to get it fixed?

Sounds like the clutch is slipping-clutch assy should be in order
