My van would start out working normally but after a few miles and fully warmed up it would crawl to a stop, the engine is running OK but it would not move in any gear. After turning off the engine and letting it sit for a little while, it would start moving again. I changed the torque converter the filter and added new transmission fluid the frictions plates are fairly new. What could be my problem, please help.
Now I am thinking of replacing the valve body. It's a C6 17 bolts pan transmission

Does the engine rev up when you try to accelerate or does it just bog down?

Then you just have a bad transmission, assuming you have verified the fluid level.
