Hey I have a 89 ford bronco 2 chassis motor(2.9 efi) and 5 speed transition, with a 4 inch lift, but the body is a 69 vw bug, when the original body was on it it ran fine, now after the body switch I wont start, its getting 40 psi at the fuel rail and good spark and compression, I'm stuck on what to do next

If the timing and compression are good, the fuel pressure and spark is good, the only thing left are the injectors. Have you checked to see if they are getting power? Also, will the engine start if you use starting fluid?

If it starts with starting fluid, then it isn't getting fuel. Check the injectors using a noid light. You should be able to rent one at a parts store. It will plug into the injector wiring plug. When you crank the engine, it should pulse on and off.

Now the problems start... lol You need to start tracing injector wires back to the PCM to see if there are any breaks, damaged wires, corrosion... If all is good, none of the pins are damaged where they plug into the PCM and check for good continuity, then you need to check If you are actually getting a reading from the PCM. If no reading, suspect cam sensor. If there is a reading at the PCM, then you missed a wiring issue.
