'88 festiva- when depressing the foot throttle, it will miss out, fall flat. If feathered, will gradually pick up R's but still misses out. What could be the problems??

If it misfires, remove the ignition modules and have it tested at a parts store, Autozone will test it, but first make sure your tune up parts are OK, plugs, wires and filters, and you have no vacuum leaks.
