1989 Chevrolet Van 89 G20 On Way Home Work Fuse Instrument Cluster Blew Got

I have a 89 g20, on the way home from work the fuse for my instrument cluster blew I got home went an replaced the fuse an it blew again now it will only run off the battery. I replaced the alternator an checked the fusable leanks an it still will only run off the battery. im totally out of ideas, HELP!!

fuses blow for a reason. you must find all that is on the circuit and elliminate each till the circuit is found the item is found that is causing the short.
