1989 Chevrolet Silverado blowing black smoke and backfireing.

My truck is blowing black smoke from it running to rich also its backfiring Im on here to get suggestions before I put it in the shop if I cant figure it out

Does the temperature gauge work? If yes, is it getting up to normal temp?

THis can happens when the fuel pressure regulator goes out and leak raw fuel into the intake manifold. I would just get a new throttle body with new fuel injectors. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
