1989 Chevrolet S 10 Switch That Turns Backup Lights On Reverse Loose Hold

The switch that turns the backup lights on when i go in reverse is loose. If I hold the gearshift up a little it works but not otherwise. How do i fix it

Check the back-up light switch on left side of transmission
