I am trying to remove the battery and replace it with a new one, the antifreeze reservoir is in a position that I cannot reach the negative cable to disconnect it or get to the battery tie down, any thoughts or suggestions before I am forced to tow it to a shop and have the battery replaced?

Move the reservoir to gain access.

Most likely not since it just a reservoir. It may only have one hose attached to the bottom. You may be able to leave it attached after you unbolt if from the fender to just move it to the side.
