Wiper switch removal

How do I remove a widshield wiper switch from a 1989 Chevy pickup 3500. the switch has cruse control and intermittened wipers.

The wiper switch assembly is part of the steering column assembly. To gain access to the switch, the steering wheel, turn signal switch and ignition lock will have to be removed.
