1989 Cadillac El Dorado engine

My el dorado was sitting for a while & I recently took it for a drive & once I get to about 30mpg the engine starts to bogg out & almost die when I floor the pedal. Fuel filter was bad & I don't think its a cracked head. Just looking for some suggestions

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first with a gauge.
