not sure why the driver side blinker and break light are not working on my 1989 buick regal gs custom doesnt seem to be a bulb problem

Did you check bulbs front and rear? Check voltage and ground circuit for the bulbs.

Your lower brake lites and turn signal use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. Yellow wire is voltage for those lites, brown wire is voltage tail lamps, black is ground.
