The dealer has the equipment to retrieve stored diagnostic fault codes from the computer. They will get you into the right circuit or system with the problem, not necessarily to the defective part.
The most common cause is a broken clock spring under the steering wheel. That is a wound-up ribbon cable in a plastic housing. When it breaks completely, the horn will also stop working.
