Audi v8 quattro 1989. Can't get my e-brake working properly. worked fine, then changed brake pads. stopped working on right side. the wire is running free, and the arm on the caliper is moving properly. disconnected the caliper, then i could push the piston all the way out by push the arm back. look't like it was working properly, until installing it back on the disc, bleeded the system. getting full brake on the pedal but still non on the e-brake.

it sounds like the worm inside the caliper has failed. you will most likley have to replace the caliper
