Im tradeing my 88 Civic Hatchback with 166k for it. Would it be an even trade even though the bearing for the supercharger went out? How expensive would it be to replace the bearing or take out the SC all together??

If you have the right tools, it won't cost anything to remove it yourself. Unfortunately, VW hasn't supplied any information regarding removal and installation procedures.
