Whats the difference in a Type1 Ignition Coil and module from a Type2?

I have a Type1 Coil pack but the Ignition Module needs to be replaced. Can I use an ignition module from a Type2 Coil pack to replace it or do can i replace the Whole assembly with a Type2 Coil and ignition Module?

I suspect you are getting this question because when you are searching for the part and the description mentions this.

This is basically just a description of the different types of coils in voltage requirements and outputs. What we want to do with this vehicle is use the OEM part number and replace it either with the same part or an equivalent.
