1988 Nissan 300ZX back parking lights

I just bought this car its been sittin for 7 yrs I bought a new battery and installed it all the lights work Ive checked all fuses and bulbs they all work I have to unhook the battery for them to go off?

I haven't looked at your wiring, but, usually the tail lamps work off the headlamp switch. Maybe a problem with switch or something shorted to voltage?

If it has been sitting that long, check around for varmint nests and chewed wires.
