1988 mercedes 560 sl stalls and starts right up almost as if the fuel is choked. Engine and idle is smooth?

Can happen at low accelleration, just cruising w/not much gas pedal pressure.

Added info: other times there might be a kick at high accellaration and then when you let off the gas while slowing it stalls. Again starts right back up and will continue to drive.

Additional info: also the car has been serviced and maintained it's whole life. Very clean and normally performs optimally.
