How do you adjust fast idle on motor? It has started to go up to almost 2800 rpm. Very fast

My car has started to fast idle when cold/first started from 1200 rpm to almost 2800 rpm. How do I resolve?

sounds like you have a vacuum leak. a smoke test would confirm. make sure the throttle body is not sticking. make sure the idle air control motor is functioning as well.
