What does throttle position sensor signal out of range mean on my code reader 23

Maybe carbon build up in throttle body and plate. Remove air snorkle use carb cleaner and a tooth brush. Then erase code see if it resets

It means that the signal that the computer is receiving back from the TPS is not within the range it was expecting so it could be any of the things that Doc suggested, a bad sensor or a problem with the wiring or computer.
