You need to elaborate on what your problem is if you expect any usable help.

There was a grinding and whining problem a few weeks ago. I finally found someone willing to fix it and upon inpection found out that I needed a wheel bearing on drivers front side. So he finally replaced that and there was no problem when he drove it. then I drove it 3 blocks and it was grinding but no whining. Brought it home and I started to break it down and look at the problem, I found evidence that maybe he didn't put it back together right. I don't know how to describe what I found except things were not as tighten down as they should have been.

I don't know what that would have to do with a pinion bearing but what is your question?
