1988 GMC S15 Stalls while driving.

Fuel Pump has been changed and fuel filter. When truck stalls the check engine light will come on and then the truck starts up. Stalls maybe twice a day. This is a work truck for son.

when the truck shuts off, the check engine light should come on.
when you changed the pump, did they replace the plug on the harness side?? it is a common failure, more then the pump.

otherwise you have a spark issue that is intermittently failing.

I had a random stalling issue with my 1988 S15 2.8 v6. Could not pin it down because it was random. Turned out to be the ignition module/igniter. I have had them totally fail before, but not intermittently fail. It was only $10 so I changed it so I could rule it out.
