I have a GMC S-15 1988, I replace the gas pump, and the sending unit but the truck even with a full tank it reads at thje guage that is 3/4 and sometimes reads less and goes back up to full. Its allways fluctuating the reading. It is posible that the guage in the dashboard it is damage?

it could be , check to see if you get power to the sending unit, it may flash witha test light which is ok. If it does, make sure your ground wire is conected good and has a good connection. If you ground out he flashing wire and gauge goes to full and stays there while connected, usually the gauge is good.
