just installed high volume oil pump and now i started shearing gears on distributor what do i do

turn car on get timing corect go for test drive and shears teeth from gear on the distributor

either the cam or the distributor is installed incorrectly. Or the gears aren't matching up properly. Also make sure that nothing is binding the distributor shaft.

I hate to say it, but you should probably also verify that nothing is causing the pump to bind.
