I have a 1988 chevy G20 van.It is leaking oil underneath and already changed oil filter and adapter but still leaking?

where is the leak???? we need some info here to help as there are many places for the oil to leak

It is leaking from engine underneath around the filter and adapter?

the hoses are common for leaking from the adapter. have a dye inserted so you can pin point the exact leaking point

Could the rear main seal be leaking and van still start and run?

the rear main. the trans has to be removed to gain acess to the seal
