How do I replace rear axle wheel bearings on a 1988 Chevy Suburban 4x4 1500?

To remove the axle, first you need to safely raise the vehicle, remove the wheel, remove the differential cover, remove the retaining bolt where the axle goes into the spider, push in on the axle and remove the retainer clip from inside the spider and the axle will come out. NOTE: Once you pull the axle, don't move the other wheel. It will mess up the spider.
