Why smoke coming out of my oil fill cap 1988 sprint ?

You may have excessive blow by that is compression by passing the rings into the sump and venting out the oil filler cap, get a leak down test done or a wet and dry comp test as this will give you a fair indication as to the condition of the rings, start here.
