1988 Chevrolet Silverado Replaced Engine Put Transmission Gear Will Die Idels

i replaced the engine in my silverado , when i put the transmission in gear the engine will die,it idels fine and will idle all day long , ive done complete tune up changed map senser idle air contol,electic spark control valve

scan for codes aand check fuel pressure if tbi 9-11psi fp. check gasket under tbi for being blown.

Checked all that, it is good, truck will start up with the tempurture sending unit hooked up, if i discnect the tempurture sending unit it will idle fine when in gear, Scaned for codes I got a number 15, tempurture sending unit I replaced the unit ,But that did not fix the problem, any ideas IM REALLY GRASPING FOR ANSWERS NOW

when you disconnect temp sender truck goes to open loop and computer only runs it as a rich engine cycle.did you just replace the engine or did you transfer stuff from old truck to different/newer motor. that may be the problem. recheck your installation for wires disconnected like wire to check timing, or any pinched wires.
