car just died??

my son has a 88 nova. was driving down the freeway yesterday and it just died out n wont restart. it turns over and has fuel going to carb n choke opens, oils good, wires look good. Thinking its a spark issue but not sure, any suggestions?

Do below and let us know your results:

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem,
