fuel pump not working

my question is that can you take a fuel injected 350 and put new intake manifold and take the plate off the side of motor were fuel pump goes and put on fuel pump will it work. or does it not have the stuff inside to make it work.

Mechanical pumps aren't typically able to provide the proper fuel pressure for fuel injection systems. Also, fuel pressure will fluctuate from a mechanical pump, which fuel injection systems don't like.
