How do I swap the computer? Are there any tips or things I should be careful to avoid?

I swapped engines from an 89 Camaro and put it in my 88. Now it won't crank. The computer wasn't swapped, but I have it. Also the wiring harness wasn't taken out of the 89 and I don't have it.

You need to replace the wiring harness, vacuum harness. As far as the computer, disconnect the battery and don't connect it until everything is reconnected.

Thanks for the info. One more question. Do you know where to find those parts? I've been searching the internet and haven't had any luck yet.

The best place to look would be a salvage yard.

I found the wiring harness, just took a few hours. Hopefully it will still be there when I have the money for it. The vacuum harness was already switched. And the computer has been switched. Maybe it won't take much longer.
