It stalls when I get on the gas

My car stall when I give it gas 1988 Cadillac with a 4.5 someone told me it was the map sencor change it but still stalls what can be the problem?

Could be a vacuum leak, bad distributor, which was a common failure, throttle body caked with carbon, or injector issues.

You need someone to look at it for you that is a tech and give you a real diag to pinpoint the failure.

Check the fuel pump pressure.

Check the onboard cpu. Push off and warmer buttons on the a/c panel. When you see all segments light release. Then write the codes down on the fuel panel.
