Where do the two wires go that come out of the top of the fuel pump on a 1987 Toyota 4runner. It has one wire going directly to my positive terminal and another going to my fuse box and when I turn the key on, the humming from the fuel tank does not shut off after the couple seconds that it is supposed to and it is the ONLY thing that I can think of that would be causing me to carry batteries with me because they drain so fast. It was shortly after someone rigged it like this that it started draining them which is why I believe this is the reason. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The fuel pump power supply should never be taken from the battery positive terminal. It is a safety hazard and in case of emergencies, the fuel pump is not going to cut off.

One of the wire, White/Black should be grounded. The other wire goes to the circuit opening relay underhood.
