1987 Oldsmobile Toronado leak in cooling system

am loosing fluid from radiator but not leaking outside. leaking inside I think from heater. small puddle on passenger side floor. can I bypass the heater if this is the problem!

Under the hood, closest to the passenger side of the car, you should see two coolant hoses (one approx 2 inches above the other). These are the heater core hoses. They are probably a little more than 1 inch in diameter. You can take them off and connect them together using a pipe or something from your local hardware shop. The only problem is that you will not have heat.
