Everything will be fine going down the Highway and all of a suddone the car will feel like you have a loose wheel. Checking all the lug nuts, none are loose. I notice the front driverside wheel is very hot to the touch. I have not been able to look the car over yet but I suspect it is a bad wheel bearing causing the front pads to drag.

Is there any noise from that wheel while driving? You need to jack up the wheel and check for any free play in the bearing. Check also if the brakes are binding on that wheel

Brakes may be slightly binding if rubber hose is restricted internaly usually from the hold down clamp mid way on hose that attaches to strut. You can loosen this clamp(pry open) to alleviate restriction or replace hose.
