1987 Mercedes Benz 300td Car Will Drive About 15 Miles Slowly Stop Accelerating

The car will drive for about 15 miles then it will slowly stop accelerating. When I look at the inline fuel filter the diesel is gone. But if I wait about 5 to 10 min. The filter fills up and the car starts back running. I changed the spin filter and the inline filter.

where is the in line filter??

If you look on the driver side under the hood you should see the filter just below wiper fluid jug.

is it before the injector pump or after to the injectors??

check the fuel lines back to the tank for any cracks or leaks. it sounds like it has air in the lines
