I have a 1987 300e that sometimes takes a while to idle normally, and sometimes will stall. Does anyone know what can cause this?

Check the fuel filter and the in line stainer in the inlet pipe into the distribution fuel head, check the the idle air vale is working, and there is a small black plastic fuel control valve on the back side of the fuel head, this can also cause problems, all these are fairly critical so they should be checked by a Benz qualified tech or a tech with good Benz knowledge.
