Could an apparently broken headlight motor cause the battery to drain after about 10 hours?

My driver headlight wouldn't raise up when i turned the headlights on the other night. The passenger side works fine, and when manually risen, the both sides still light up. The next day, car wouldn't start, got a jump, drove to work where it sat for 8 hours, I did start it once during that time, but only for a moment to make sure it would start. Day after, wouldn't start again. Haven't tried jumping it again, I would like to solve the problem before driving it.
Thank you!!

There could be a short in the headlight lift motor.
I am providing you with the wiring diagram for the headlight system. The headlight motor system components are near the top of the diagram.
