1987 Ford Ranger nuetral safety switch

Manual says I need special tool to remove old it screws in like a spark plug but due to location cant get a socket on it or a wrench cant find special tool or even an answer anywhere

It doesn't thread in. It bolts to the housing

Seems there r 2 types transmissions 1 bolts in like u say I have the c5 it threads in looks like a sparkplug Haynes manual says need special wrench

It looks like a sparkplug no bolts hang it in it screws in I have the new one also no slots for anything manual says c has bolts under c it says c5 or auld transmissions anyway new problem did diagnostic test according to manual run jumper wire from possible to relay starter spun b it now when I go to put pos terminal back on starter keeps engaging with no key in is relay damaged now set on open thank you for ur time
