How do I check for a vacuum leak on my Dodge Aries?

Under the hood, there are several vacuum hoses. Check for any that are damaged, disconnected, broken... If you can't see any, you can spray carb cleaner on them. If the RPM's increase, there is a leak in that area. NOTE: Starter fluid is very flamable. It can cause a fire if you spray it on an engine component that is extremely hot. Make sure to have a fire extinguisher near by.

A lot safer with a vacuum gauge that's if you can interpret the movement of the needle-your choice
