Father has a 87 2.2L Chrysler New Yorker mechanic says the fuel pump is bad. He cannot afford the mechanic. I have changed a few fuel pumps. I thought may be I could do this one.

Can the pump can be accessed from the back seat or does the tank need to be dropped?

it is acessed from the bottom rear of the car. you have to drop the tank about 3 inches and remove the track bar in the suspension
