Smog system 1987 chevy 5.7L suburban

Will there be any communication issues with ECM regarding the fuel air mixture if I properly disconnect the smog system(Plug exhaust manifold, disconnect electrical, plug vacuum ports)

If you live in a state that does sniffer tests, I don't think that will work. Also, may turn on check engine lite?

The o2 sensor tells the computer if system is rich or lean.
