Attached are 2 different cable types. Our database does not have any instruction on the removal/installation so you would have to rely on the diagrams to understand what needs to be removed to get the cable out.

Thank you, but this doe not show how it has to be done on my Chevy Celebrity "automatic" the cable goes to the wheel to the gear lever

Fig 3 (2nd diagram) shows the colun shift cable that you are referring to.

Cable housing is held by retainers (clips) that have to be removed. At both end of cable, cotter pins with washers are usd. They have to be removed as well. After that you need to maneuver the cable out.
