My 1987 Buick LeS Custom has a newer engine now 25000 miles, all new sensors, newer computer and cold weather idles very high. It takes 10 min. To idle-down before it's safe to drive. It races too high when cold. Sometimes you have to kick the pedal to get it to shift out of lower range. Mechanics have determined vacuum is solid and poured over the wiring and scanned in great depth. The idle can be erratic at other warm climate. I've gone through more maf sensors and iac valves and tps sensors than ever. My grandparents had this car before me and with their old engine had the same troubles. Is this car "just the way it is"?
