Have a BMW 1987 325E. When I try to start it it will run for 3 seconds on the first try, 2 on the second try and will only turn over and will not start after that.
Checked fule pump, EGR valve, spark plugs, fuel pump relay and crank position sensor . All good. Any thoughts?

There isn't an EGR valve on an M20 motor. There are 2 crank sensors, they will need to be inspected. Is there spark all the time? Is there a signal at the fuel injectors?
