No O2 senson for my Arizona bought 1986 Subaru gl wagon 4WD. Smelly Exhaust in car when AC off and window rolled down. Old Cat maybe but could the carb cause this smell even at tail pipe?

It may be time to rebuild the carb. It could be dumping fuel.
