I used to have a few of these cars and loved them! The gas mileage was GREAT! I dont know if that old a car has a MAF? I didn't even know what a MAF was back then! It probably has a MAP though! I'm tryin to to remember if its a carb or a single injector throttle body? I might even have a book on it around. So check MAP for hose good and connected first.

What was gas mileage before? MAP sensor is vacuum operated sensor detecting engine vacuum pressure to alter fuel flow to injectors. Also ECT engine temp sensor has effect on fuel delivery. Check for vac lines loose/broke/cracked.
